Hello my name is Sarah Harwood. When I started teaching music at the age of 16 my students would often talk to me about difficulties at home or school. This inspired me years later to complete a Master of Arts in Counselling, specialising in marriage, children, and families. Since then I have enjoyed helping people discover their strengths to lead contented and fulfilling lives.

I love the work that I do. I believe in providing a safe and non-judgemental environment to all my clients. Building a relationship is my fundamental counselling approach and I enjoy forming trusting and genuine relationships with my clients. My counselling style is warm, accepting, and playful. I strongly believe that everyone can make significant progress in the counselling process. I am President of the Australian Play Therapists Association. I am also the founder of the Queensland Institute of Play Therapy, an organisation dedicated to teaching Play Therapy.

I am a mother, wife, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. I understand parenting and relationship challenges. You will often find me outside with my children or my head in a good book (when I have time!).

My practice is backed by extensive training in expressive therapy such as sand play, art, and music. I have provided mental health therapy to young children, adolescents, adults and families.

Hi, my name is Katie and I’m interested in supporting you and your child in an empowering way to achieve a sense of ‘wholeness’ and wellbeing. Challenging issues can arise along your path and you may need a little extra support from time to time. I look forward to helping your family members on their own journeys.

I am an ACA registered counsellor, specialising in parenting support and counselling young people. I am a parent of four beautiful people, aged 13 to 20, who have taught me much about myself, parenting and life. I have worked with children and teenagers for over 20 years, in both educational and counselling settings. As a registered teacher, I can help you to understand and navigate the challenges of the education system and help your child thrive within it. I can also support NDIS clients who are self-managed.

I have a Bachelor of Arts (Music), Bachelor of Education and a Masters of Counselling, all of which were undertaken at the University of Queensland. I look forward to speaking with you soon. If you have any questions about me or the counselling process, feel free to give me a call or send an email.
